The Black Prince is a privately owned business, with the emphasis being very much on family & the community. Our core staff members have all worked at the pub for a substantial amount of time, helping us maintain a position in providing a key service to the local community, especially in the recent difficult times which we have all been dealing with. Our listing in Tripadvisor as the number one restaurant in Woodstock shows our commitment to customer service and our standing within the community.
We are a traditional British pub, which seems to be a dying breed these days. We are not a chain pub, focused only on making money with staff members just being another ‘number’ on the payroll. We are a team, a family if you like, who work hard together to offer our customers a personal touch to make their visit to the pub an enjoyable one every time.
Current positions available are:
Kitchen Porter
Your role would include:
Keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy, washing all pots, pans & plates. Assisting our chefs with basic food preparation.
Saturday evening 6pm till 9pm.
Sunday lunchtime 12-5pm.
Weekday shifts also available.
Front of House
Your role would include:
Serving customers from behind the bar & waiting on tables whilst maintaining our standards of service. Preparing tables ready for customer arrivals & engaging with the clientele to ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
Varying shifts available, both midweek and at weekends.
Experience preferred but not essential.
All shift patterns considered.
Good rates of pay with high potential for tips.
Kitchen Assistant/Cook
Your role would include:
Assisting our chefs in the preparation & service of our menu dishes, along with maintaining our standards of cleanliness & hygiene.
Varying shifts available.
